The Tl’azt’en Nation Natural Resource Department is looking for a Stewardship Forester to oversee forestry consultation and stewardship planning within the traditional territory. This position requires field skills, GIS skills, and management skills; experience with government-to-government negotiations and collaboration with MFLNRO and other provincial ministries; an understanding of Indigenous Rights and Title and new provincial legislation regarding the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP). Tl’azt’en Nation’s office is located 40 km from the town of Fort St. James in the central interior of BC.
