The TI’azten Nation Education Department is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all visitors, students, families, and community members. The successful candidate will provide administrative support and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the Education office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors, students, and staff in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls and respond to general inquiries Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars
  • Assist with data entry, filing, photocopying, and office organization Support Education Department staff with various clerical duties
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff records
  • Provide basic information on programs, services, and registration procedures
  • Order and organize office supplies as needed
  • Assist with event coordination and communications for education programs

Oualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of TI’azten Nation, culture, and community is a strong asset
  • Ability to speak or understand the Dakelh language is an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based position in the Tl’azten Education Department
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies or event materials
  • Must be dependable and punctual
