Tl’azt’ en Nation Education Department is seeking one (1) Recreation Coordinator for the Recreation/Youth Worker program for a one-year term position (maternity leave).

Oualifications:

• Grade 12 Dogwood
Criminal Record Check- Vulnerable Section
Experience working with children/youth
Occupational First Aid Level 1 with Transportation Endorsement
Class 5 drivers license an asset

Duties:

Plan and implement programs for the recreation/youth program.

• Plan and facilitate youth workshops, gatherings, training, etc.
• Provide ongoing supervision and support for participants
  Basic Mentoring with youth.
• To build positive relationships with participants and community members
  Submit monthly reports to Education Manager/Education Advisory Committee
• Perform other related duties as required by supervisor and/or manager.
  Abide by Tl’azt’ en Nation policies & procedures and Code of Ethics.
• Flexible hours, partial evening and/or weekend work will be required

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

• Time management and planning abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
