On April 18, 2024, the Tl’azt’en Nation held a significant referendum to ratify the new election code, marking a pivotal moment in our community’s governance. The referendum saw active participation from community members, reflecting their commitment to shaping the future of our leadership. The result was a decisive step forward, with 121 votes in favor of the new election code and 85 votes against. This outcome demonstrates a clear mandate for updating our election processes to ensure transparency, fairness, and representation.
