The Tl’azt’en Nation Education Department is seeking a dedicated and community-oriented Adult Education Assistant to support the delivery of adult learning programs and services. The successful applicant will assist in coordinating educational activities, supporting adult learners, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities within the community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 completion
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required
- Previous experience working in an educational or administrative support role an asset
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the Adult Education Teacher/Principal
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of adult education programs, workshops, and training sessions
- Support adult learners with registration, course materials, technology use, and access to resources
- Maintain accurate attendance, records, and reports as required
- Provide administrative support to the Adult Education Teacher/Principal
- Communicate effectively with learners, staff, and community members
- Promote and encourage participation in adult learning programs
- Support culturally relevant programming that reflects Tl’azt’en language, traditions, and values
- Carry out incidental and related duties as required and/or requested by supervisor
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Uphold confidentiality and respect for learner privacy
This position is based at the Tl’azt’en Nation Education Office in Tache, BC.
