Liaison Worker – Middle River

Tl’azt’en Nation community of Dzit’lainli (Middle River)

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Dogwood
  • Criminal record check
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Working Vehicle

Duties:

  • Develop a weekly plan to work with community members to meet their needs
  • Provide community outreach visits as requested by members
  • Meet with members and nation staff on a weekly basis
  • Develop and implement proposals and work plans
  • Develop a data system to track projects
  • Communicate with members, staff, and advocates when needed
  • Mediate conflicts/issues of concerns between members and staff
  • Be an advocate for the needs of the members
  • Will work directly with the Department Managers
  • Adhere to the Nation’s Policies and Procedures

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Interpersonal skills, supportive and advocacy skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Basic Finance skills
  • The ability to communicate in a professional manner utilizing team approach and pre-requisites for this position
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
