The Tl’azt’en Nation is pleased to announce the upcoming Chief and Council Election. This election is a crucial event for our community, allowing us to choose the leaders who will represent and guide us.
Timeline:
- Nomination Period: May 28, 2024 – June 25, 2024
- Community members can submit nominations for candidates.
- The nomination period will end with a community meeting on June 25, 2024.
- June 25, 2024 – June 28, 2024 Chief and Councillor Acceptance
- Election Update – Notice of Meeting July 3, 2024 – EJES Gym 7:00PM
- Notice of Election – July 8, 2024
- Voters List – July 8, 2024
- All Candidates Forum – July 24, 2024
- Online Voting – July 25, 2024 8:00AM – August 6, 2024 8:00PM
- Election Day: August 7, 2024
